Throughout the course of the year we stock close to forty British and Irish cheeses which are ripened to perfection for us by Neals Yard Dairy.


Neals Yard work closely with small artisan cheesemakers. Understanding the cheese - the variations from one day to the next of the milk and the conditions of making and maturing - make the difference between a good cheese and a great one.

Summer cheeses include the ash-covered goats' milk pyramid Tymsboro, bloomy-rinded ewes' milk Wigmore, and soft Cashel Blue. Organic triple cream Finn and Croghan are also perfect at this time of year, served with bunches of cherries, peppery radishes, figs, or apricots
Cooler autumn and winter months call for the fuller-flavoured cheeses.

Richer foods cry out for unpastuerised Montgomery Cheddar, Colston Basset Stilton, Kirkham's Lancashire, Berkswell or Gubbeen - served with a crisp apple or pair. Delicious!
